FAQ
Current product direction
These answers reflect the desktop/iOS/web split. Implementation details can change as the Linear issues move through PRs.
View pricing modesWhat is the main Arxivo product surface?
Desktop is the primary research workbench. iOS is the mobile control center. Web supports download, account, pricing, provider status, and read-only shared artifacts.
Can I still search papers on the web?
The existing search route remains available as a utility, but it is no longer the core product direction or the main conversion flow.
Where do provider keys and local models fit?
Managed cloud, BYOK, and Local modes are separate. Local model work is expected to run through the desktop/local worker path; managed routes are disclosed as cloud processing.
How does pricing work?
Pricing is mode-based: managed credits, BYOK platform/orchestration, and Local expectations are separate. Exact billing and payment implementation are tracked in later protected work.
What are shared artifact pages?
They are read-only web previews for shortlists, outlines, evidence reports, and draft previews with provenance and a desktop app CTA.
